SDK Supposed to Arrive Ontime!
According to dbtechno.com, the SDK is supposed to arrive by the end of February.
“The Apple iPhone firmware 1.1.4, as well as the software developer kit (SDK) are just about ready and are expected to meet the deadline set by Apple CEO Steve Jobs, which was the end of February.”
So if you do not plan to Jailbreak but still want 3rd party apps I would recommend updating immediately and I am ending this post to do just that.
New 1.1.4 Firmware
The new firmware 1.1.4 came out but sadly it looks as if there are no new features. Some speculate that 1.1.4 is the only firmware the SDK will run on. Also, ATTENITION JAILBREAKERS, ZiPhone has been confirmed to work on the new firmware. On the note of the 1.1.4, the code in the chalkboard that I posted about a couple of posts ago is the 1.1.4 RAMDISK code. Please comment and let me know exactly what that is.
New MacBooks and MacBook Pros
So the new MacBooks and the new Pros are out and they look amazing. MacBook Pros can now go up to 2.5 ghz and Apple also gave them multi touch technology (will update when I find out specifically what features). Also, the new MacBook can go up to 2.4 ghz and both are currently available in Apple’s store.

EDIT—Ok so you can zoom in, zoom out, swipe to move through pics, rotate pics, and they may have added some new gestures…cool nonetheless
Master Key
Wow. While searching for rumors, I stumbled across a Tuaw page stating that an anonymous source told them that hackers now had a “master key.” what does this mean? Essentially this means bad apps (apps apple doesn’t approve of) can be distributed through iTunes. There are some holes in this rumor, if someone had the all powerful master key, why release it before the SDK even came out? The key can be seen for a brief time at www.austinheap.com/assets/isdk/ OR. In the photo of Einstein on the chalkboard at ziphone.org/2008/01/major-iPhone-breakthru.html
Master Key is not for the SDK but rather for the 1.1.4 RAMDISK also I managed to get a Photo of it…write this down kids, its important

MacBook Air…Good or Bad?
We all stared in amazement as the MacBook Air was released. But then we learn that we are really paying more for less. First of all, the MacBook Air does not come with an optical drive and the one Apple has out is a whopping $99. Also, the MacBook has 2 USB ports, one of which you may want to use to connect the optional Ethernet cable offered by Apple as well for $29. To put it simply, you are paying $800 more than the MacBook for a lighter version of one. In my opinion the Air is a great concept, but is in its “BETA” stages.

MacBook pros bad news for Air?
With the anticipated release of the new and improved MacBook pros, some sites such as engadget speculate that people will reject the Air and opt to buy the less expensive, larger screen, and more drive space of the MacBook Pro. I can’t say that I disagree either. The simple facts that the Air doesn’t have an optical drive or more than 1-2 USB hubs make the Air all the less desireable. Personally I do not beleive the Air is worth the money.

New Processors
The new releases of iMacs will be receiving the same processors as the macbook pros. These processors are called Penryn chips. These will be released with the Macbook pros either the 26th or during the mid March event. Some Mac rumors sites are claiming that if the Macbook pros are released mid March then the whole design will be changed.

Edit- according to Mac Rumors, the new processors will make the MacBook Pros and the iMac up to 203% faster!
Delayed SDK???
Alas we are days away from the proposed date of the SDK (said by “fake” developer Kelly from tinycode) when, according to 9to5mac, we are told the SDK will not be released until mid March. Possible reasons for this are that Apple does not have enough apps to launch, the apps are not polished, or Kelly was right and now Apple wants to rebuild the anticipation. Rest assured something is going to be released on the 26th, be it the multi touch trackpads, the long awaited flash support, or a 3g iPhone, expect something.
